Rosalee B. Schmid

Rosalee B. Schmid, 89, of Fulton, passed away Friday, March 8, 2013, at University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia. She was born July 25, 1923, in Portland, the daughter of the late Fredrick L. Binggeli and the late Anna Binggeli. Rosalee was united in marriage to Albert Schmid, who preceded her in death on November 25, 2005. Rosalee was a member of Court Street United Methodist Church, Callaway Calicos Square Dancing Group, and Eastern Star for over 60 years. She also volunteered her time at Meals on Wheels and the Fulton Senior Center. Rosalee worked at the Portland Bank for several years then retired from the Fulton Public Schools after 35 years. Rosalee will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by two sons, David Schmid and wife Kathleen of Chesterfield, and Dale Schmid and wife Carol of St. Louis; one daughter, Deana Ready of Fulton; five granddaughters, Kelly Kriekmeier and husband Mark, Leslea Alexander and husband Eric, Lindsey Denny and husband Eric, Amanda Sidney and husband Patrick, and Stephanie Matthews and husband Steve; eight great-grandchildren, Madeline, Molly, and Drew Kreikmeier, Brenden, Zackary, and Ellie Jo Alexander, and Brittney and MacKenzie Denny; and one brother, Christy Binggeli of Fulton. In addition to her parents and her husband, Rosalee was preceded in death by one son-in-law, Joe Ready. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 11, 2013, at Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton with Pastor Emily Carroll officiating. Interment will be held at Callaway Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 10, 2013, also at Maupin Funeral Home with an Eastern Star service at 5:45 p.m. There will be an additional visitation time from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service on Monday.
