Lillian Marie Bell

Lillian Marie Bell, 93, of Fulton, passed away on Friday, March 1, 2013, at Fulton Manor Care Center in Fulton. She was born May 2, 1919, in Bluffton, the daughter of the late Andrew J. Rose and the late Bertha Alice (Northern) Rose. On May 8, 1960, she was united in marriage to Charles H. Bell, who preceded her in death on July 1, 2001. Lillian enjoyed sewing, gardening, traveling, and going to Cranes Store and Wright Brothers store in Calwood. She loved playing with her grandchildren. Lillian was just the best grandmother, firm but fair, and enjoyed playing jokes. Lillian will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by one son, Roger Elder and wife, Hazel, of Fulton; one daughter, Joyce Grissom of Moulton, Ala.; one brother, Gilbert Rose and wife, Ruth, of Fulton; one sister, Jeanne Betchy of Chesapeake, Va.; 12 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and 22 great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and her husband, Lillian was preceded in death by one daughter, Lois Brady; and two brothers, Elvin Rose and Leland Rose. Memorial services will be 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 5, 2013, at Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton with Pastor Bruce Williamson officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service also on Tuesday, March 5, 2013, at Maupin Funeral Home. Interment will be held at New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery.
