Wilda Mirts Bryan, 82, of Jefferson City, passed away Friday, March 1, 2013, at Capital Region Medical Center. She was born September 2, 1930, in Dixie, Mo., the daughter of the late John David and Allie Berniece (Gathright) Mirts. Wilda worked for U.S. Senator Kit Bond as the Veteran's Affairs Administrator. Wilda is survived by two sons, Joe Bryan and his wife Aileen of Jefferson City and John Bryan of Jefferson City; one brother, Dr. Gary Mirts and his wife Betty of Shreveport, La.; three grandchildren, Joey, Rachel, and Grant Bryan, all of Jefferson City; and great-grandchild, Tatum Bryan. She was preceded in death by her brother, Paul David Mirts, and special friend of 25 years, Bob Dallmeyer. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, March 3, 2013, at Callaway Memorial Gardens with Pastor Bruce Williamson officiating. In lieu of customary memorials, the family suggests donation be made in Wilda's name to MU Children's Hospital, c/o Debo Funeral Home, 833 Court Street, Fulton, MO 65251.
