Michael Loyd Holland, 61, of New Bloomfield, passed away Wednesday, June 19, 2013, at his home. He was born February 16, 1952, in Jefferson City, the son of Harold Loyd and Pauline (Bratton) Holland. Michael was a Security Systems Technician in the banking industry, working for Mosler, Rob-Co and most recently Oppliger Banking Systems. He was a member of New Bloomfield Christian Church and an alumni of New Bloomfield High School. In his spare time, Michael enjoyed hunting and fishing, but the times he enjoyed most were those spent with his grandchildren. Those left to cherish Michael's memory are his mother, Pauline Holland of Holts Summit; daughters, Angela D. Archer and her husband Troy of Holts Summit, and Alicia Holland of New Bloomfield; sister-in-law, Linda Sue Holland; grandchildren, Sarah E. Sears, Hannah M. Sears, and Kyle L. Sears, all of Holts Summit, and Andrew T. Dyson and Ashley Paige Thomas, both of New Bloomfield; and nephews, Matt Holland and Nathan Holland. Michael was preceded in death by his father and brother, Gary Holland. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 22, 2013, at Debo Funeral Home in Holts Summit with Reverend Rick Hopkins officiating. Interment will follow at Hopewell Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 9 a.m. until the time of service.
