Mary Sue Dietz, 62, of Fulton, passed away Friday, June 14, 2013, at Fulton Presbyterian Manor with her family by her side. She courageously battled breast cancer for over five years. She was born December 14, 1950, in Mexico, Missouri, the only child of the late Arlie and Genevie Rubey. Mary lived the majority of her life in Fulton, where she married Roger Louis Dietz in 1974. Roger preceded her in death in 1991. Mary was a member of High Point Chapel in Williamsburg and also attended Assembly of God Church in Fulton. Many knew Mary as a hairdresser for SaDonna's hair design where she worked for many years before working at the Fulton State Hospital and lastly at Missouri School for the Deaf. She was known to be friendly and kind, always with a welcoming smile on her face. Mary loved spending time with her family and caring for her dog Sally. She enjoyed playing cards, Scrabble, watching a Cardinals game and going fishing. Mary will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by one son, Roger Gordon Dietz and wife Dora of Algonquin, Illinois; one daughter, Rosemary Moss and husband Gary of Fulton; two grandchildren, Zachary Dietz and Sydney Moss; and Jim Kennedy, her best friend. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. on Wednesday, June 19, 2013, at Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton with Pastor Noel Crowson officiating. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the time of service on Wednesday at Maupin Funeral Home. Interment will be at Callaway Memorial Gardens in Fulton.
