Keith Rice

E. Keith Rice, 65, of Fulton passed away at Boone Hospital Center on June 7, 2013. He was born August 3, 1947 in Fulton, the son of Minnie Jane (Hughes) Rice and the late Earl R. Rice. On February 14, 1975, Keith was united in marriage with Sharon (Schraer) Rice, who survives his passing at the home. Keith graduated from Fulton High School in 1965. He began working at LaCrosse Lumber Co. in 1975 and became manager in 1995. Keith loved nature, feeding wildlife and working in the outdoors. He enjoyed hosting family gatherings. Keith also loved his two Scotties, Molly and Angus. In addition to his wife and mother, Keith will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by one son, Justin Liley of Fulton; three sisters, Janice Humphrey and husband Ronald, of Fulton, Kathy Rude and husband Russell, of Fulton, and Kim Holden and husband Tom, of Northampton, Mass.; one brother-in-law, Norman Schraer and wife Norma, of Auxvasse; and three sisters-in-law, Linda Nebel and husband Maurice, of High Hill, Susan Gale of Harrisburg, and Jane Corum and husband Bryan, of Columbia; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 11, 2013 at Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton, with Reverend Martin Stukenborg and Dr. Irvin Keith Rice officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Monday, June 10, 2013 at Maupin Funeral Home. Interment will be held at Hillcrest Cemetery in Fulton.
