Fawnette Hering

Fawnette Hering, 92, of Marshall, died Sunday, April 28, 2013, at Fitzgibbon Hospital in Marshall. Born April 2, 1921, in Saline County, she was the daughter of the late Frank Perkins and Anna Lee Renison Perkins. She was a graduate of Fulton High School and Jefferson City Business School. On April 28, 1943, she married Elmo Rollins (Bill) Hering, who preceded her in death on May 11, 1996. She had lived in Marshall most of her life and was a retired secretary having worked for 50 years. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church and Patsy Gregg Chapter DAR. Survivors include two sisters, Dorothy Schmid of Fulton, and Ann Adams of Emma; one brother, Robert Perkins of Oracle, Ariz.; numerous nieces and nephews; and her beloved dog, Daisy Mae. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Suzanne Hering; one brother, Charles Perkins; and one sister, Beatrice Perkins. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, June 10, 2013, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall with William W. Harlow officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Inurnment will be in Blackburn Cemetery in Blackburn. Memorials may be made to the Saline Animal League. Friends may sign the online register book at www.campbell-lewis.com
