Todd Alfred Durlin

Todd Alfred Durlin, age 47, of Auxvasse, passed away on Friday, May 31, 2013, at his home. He was born in LaMesa, Calif. on August 25, 1965, the oldest child of Lawrence Roy Durlin and Nancy Ellen Durlin (Ervin). Todd graduated from North Callaway High School as part of the class of 1983. He served as a volunteer firefighter for North Callaway and Auxvasse Fire Departments. In life, Todd was skilled mechanically, a talented welder, deeply devoted to his work, and loved to barbecue. From an early age Todd expressed, and will be remembered for, his interest in farming which led him into the FFA where he raised four beef calves, a number of hogs, and gained him his first job on a farm. In his youth he placed his faith in Christ and was baptized at Mineola Baptist Church of Mineola. During the course of his life he worked for Williamsburg Radiator, Oliver Transportation Incorporated, and was employed at the time of his passing for William Willis Trucking. Todd is survived and lovingly missed by: his parents, Larry and Nancy Durlin; one sister, Joyce Gathright and her husband Richard of Auxvasse; one brother, Scott Durlin and his wife Marcia of Fulton; five children, Candice Durlin of Fulton, Bobby Durlin and his wife Ashley of Auxvasse, Brian Durlin and his wife Lacy of Auxvasse, David Durlin and his wife Brittney of Auxvasse, and Jennifer Durlin of Auxvasse; and 10 grandchildren. Services will be held at Grand Prairie Baptist Church, 104 N. Main, Auxvasse, on Saturday, June 8, 2013, with visitation at 10:30 a.m. and memorial services at 11:00 a.m. with Rev.
