John Kelling

John A. Kelling, 77, of Steedman, passed away Saturday, June 1, 2013, at his home. He was born January 9, 1936, in St. Louis, the son of the late Anvill Kelling and the late Elenore (Cooley) Kelling. John loved fishing, golf carts, and sitting in his swing. He enjoyed living at Wildwood Recreation Park. John will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by two sons, Terry McKenzie of Eugene, Ore., and Jesse Ulery of Warrenton; two daughters, Charlene Morales of Tennessee, and Patty Fletcher and husband Carl Bennett Jr. of Warrenton; two brothers, Donald Kelling and wife Joyce of Warrenton, and Patrick Kelling and wife Wilma of Fulton; three sisters, Ruth Ann Graham and husband Ralph of St. Louis, Mary Bremer of Minnesota, and Dorothy Stoops and husband Roger of Summerville; 17 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by one daughter, Turia Brandt; two brothers, David Kelling and Walter "Jene" Kelling; and one sister, Margie Griffee. It was John's wishes to be cremated. A memorial service is pending.
