Lola C. Dzurick, 61, of Fulton, went home to the Lord on Tuesday, June 25, 2013, after a valiant battle against cancer. She was surrounded by her husband and sons. Lola was born June 18, 1952, the daughter of Gayford and Reba Faye (White) Cook. She was united in marriage to Daryle Dzurick on June 22, 1974. He survives at their home. Lola received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education from William Woods in 1974 and her Master's Degree from Lincoln University. She was employed for 37 years for the South Callaway School District, retiring in May 2013. Lola enjoyed going to garage sales with her sister-in-law, Linda Dzurick, and eating out with "The Girls". She also enjoyed a special bond with very close friend. Bobbie Haines. Lola's memory will forever be cherished by her husband of 39 years, Daryle; her sons, Alex Dzurick of Columbia, and Christopher Dzurick of Fulton; brother, Lonnie Vaughan and wife Lyda of Fulton; sister, Alice Hartman and husband Wayne of Hartsburg; and her beloved cats. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Charles Cook and David Vaughan. A memorial service honoring Lola's life will be held at South Callaway High School at 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 13, 2013. In lieu of customary memorials, the family suggests donations be made in Lola's name to the Fulton Animal Shelter Building Fund, c/o Debo Funeral Home, 833 Court Street, Fulton, MO 65251.
