Alba Dye

Alba Dye, 74, of Marble Hill, Mo., died Sat., June 29, 2013, in a vehicle accident south of Marble Hill. Born on July 26, 1938, in Yauco, Puerto Rico, she was the daughter of Carlos and Estrella Rodrigues Gaudin. She came to St. Louis and worked for Blair Industries as an administrative secretary. She married Frank Dye in Dec. 1989, and moved to Bollinger County. She and Frank operated Shorty's Three-Way Cafe. Frank preceded her in death in 2008. She is survived by children: Jacky (Alex) Hawkins of Topeka, Kan., Steve (Patty) Dye of Wisconsin, Jackie Kay (Dion) Ison of Montgomery City, Mo., Jody Dye, and Tony (Pam) Dye, all of Fulton, Mo.; three sisters: Annie Pietri, Antonia Jouett, and Maria Flores; two brothers, Alejandro and Carlos Gaudin; 16 grandchildren, numerous great- grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews whom she cherished. A graveside comittal will be conducted at Hillcrest Cemetery in Fulton, Mo., on Sat., July 6, 2013, at 10:00 a.m. Hutchings Funeral Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
