Leslie Levi Moore, 79, of Fulton, passed away Monday, July 1, 2013, at Fulton Manor Care Center on July 1, 2013. He was born May 5, 1934, in Montgomery County, the son of the late Mangus Moore and the late Minnie (Brown) Moore. Leslie was united in marriage to Frances (Brooks) Moore, who preceded him in death. Leslie was a member of Southside Baptist Church. He was a cattle and hay farmer. Leslie was employed at Kaiser and National Refractories for 42 years. Leslie was an avid coonhunter and was a Fulton Hornet and Fulton Redbirds fan. He was also the 1990 World Champion Brick Skidder. Leslie will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by one son, Leslie Kent Moore and wife, Kathy, of Fulton; one daughter, Lana Rene Jacobs and husband, John, of Fulton; four grandchildren, Ryan Jacobs and wife, Lauren, of Columbia, and Darren Jacobs, Camden Moore, and Peyton Moore, all of Fulton; three brothers, Richard Moore, Harold Moore, and Mangus Moore Jr.; two sisters, Edna Beasley and Beulah Craghead; and a special friend, Joyce Chandlee. In addition to his parents and his wife, Leslie was preceded in death by two brothers, Manley Moore and James Moore; three sisters, Ella Mae Beasley, Dorothy Dillard, and Alma Moore; and special friend, June Brown. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 3, 2013, at Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton with Pastor Gary Garrett officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 2, 2013, also at Maupin Funeral Home. Interment will be held at Callaway Memorial Gardens.
