William "Bill" A Dawson

William "Bill" A. Dawson, 81, of Fulton, passed away on Monday, January 28, 2013. He was born November 5, 1931, in Fulton, the son of the late Samuel Dawson and the late Rebecca (Loyd) Dawson. On October 21, 1961, in Vandalia, Bill was united in marriage to Katie (Miller) Dawson, who survives his passing at the home. In addition to his wife, Bill will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by two sons, Dale Dawson of Fulton, and John Dawson and wife, Marianne, of Fulton; one daughter, Kathy Gilman and husband, Chris, of Auxvasse; six grandchildren, Taylor, Connor, Eva, Ina, Mikaela, and Alana; one brother, Tom Dawson of Kingdom City; two sisters, Mary Jane Phillippe of Hallsville, and Norma Jean Bush of Columbia. In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by two brothers, Ronald Dawson and David Lee "Jack" Dawson. Bill was a member of the Millersburg Baptist Church. He enjoyed tinkering with automobiles, traveling, and spending time with his family and grandkids. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. on Friday, February 1, 2013, at Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton with Pastor Bruce Williamson officiating. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 31, 2013, at Maupin Funeral Home. Interment will be held at Millersburg Baptist Cemetery.
