Angie Lynch Stiegman, 98, of Williamsburg, died on Thursday, January 10, 2013, at her granddaughter's home in Stony Hill. Angie Ruth Stiegman was born on April 1, 1914, to John Madison Lynch and Betty McCowan Lynch. She married Damon George Stiegman on October 21, 1937 in Hermann. He preceded her in death on May 6, 2002. Mrs. Stiegman worked for Ralston Purina in their research department for many years doing experiments with animals such as rabbits, rats, mice, etc. and developing feed. Mrs. Stiegman was a member of the Old Auxvasse Nine-Mile Presbyterian Church in Williamsburg and a member of the Eastern Star. Mrs. Stiegman was a very lively and fun person who enjoyed life to the fullest. She collected dolls and had over a hundred of them; she enjoyed sewing, gardening, dancing, traveling, fishing, ice skating, sleigh riding, riding her golf cart around, and the outdoors. Mrs. Stiegman's biggest love was visiting with all her family and her many friends. Mrs. Stiegman was preceded in death by: her parents; her husband, Damon G. Stiegman; son, Larry Dean Stiegman; one great-granddaughter, Christina Berger; two sisters, Opal Haley and Nan Tomek; two brothers, Harry and John Lynch; four brothers; and one sister that died in infancy. Mrs. Stiegman is survived by: one daughter, Betty Ann Moorhead of Oklahoma City, Okla.; five grandchildren, Cheryl Bahnsen and husband, Carl, of Minn., Jeff Rice of Williamsburg, Janice Gibilterra of Washington, Angela Hunt and husband, Don, of Stony Hill, and Rebecca Arms and husband, Michael, of Oklahoma City, Okla.; twelve great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren. Also surviving is her sister, Pearl Wilson of Williamsburg; and many nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral services will be held at Noon on Monday, January 14, 2013, at the Schlanker Funeral Home in Montgomery City. The Rev. Jim Cruickshank will officiate and interment will be in the Bethel Cemetery in Labadie. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until the time of service on Monday at the Schlanker Funeral Home in Montgomery City. Casketbearers include Tom Johnson, Patrick Dooley, Zach Hornbuckle, Travis Gruenloh, Kyle Rogers, and Josh Pedersen.
