Guy W. Malicoat, 99, of Rhineland, passed away Friday, February 8, 2013, in Lincoln, Nebraska. He was born February 14, 1913, in New Florence, Mo., the son of the late George W. and Emma K. (Becker) Malicoat. He was united in marriage to Alice Mae Becker on February 4, 1942 in Fulton. Guy attended Whiteside School in New Florence. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his family and friends. He was a fan of St. Louis Cardinal Baseball. Guy was a member of Bethany Baptist Church in Rhineland and attended Bethel United Methodist Church in Readsville where he enjoyed singing. He is survived by one son, Fred Malicoat and wife Carolyn of Columbia; one daughter, Shirley M. Reeves and husband Rich of Lincoln, Neb.; one sister, Helen Hoover of Fulton; three grandsons, Steven, Shawn, and Shane Reeves; three granddaughters, Sarah Malicoat, Emily Malicoat, and Amy Koerkenmeier; and 11 great-grandchildren. Guy was preceded in death by his wife, parents, and six sisters. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, February 14, 2013, at Debo Funeral Home in Fulton with Pastor Steve Swope officiating. Interment will follow at Bethel United Methodist Cemetery in Readsville. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. on Wednesday, February 13 at the funeral home.
