James Curtis "J.C." Adams, 88, of Fulton, passed away Tuesday, February 5, 2013, at Fulton Manor Care Center on. He was born January 1, 1925 in Fulton, the son of the late Albert and Dollie (Snyder) Adams. On January 20, 1945, he was united in marriage to Mildred Marie (Martin) Adams, who preceded him in death on January 13, 2009. J.C. was a truck driver for years and worked at LaCrosse Lumber Company for many years. He and his son ran Adams South Side Service Station until he retired to take care of his cattle that he enjoyed so much. J.C. was a member of Unity Baptist Church. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. J.C. will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by one son, Billy Adams and wife, Barbara, of Fulton; two daughters, Shirley Holland and husband, Roger, of Fulton and Diana Laurie and husband, Eddie, of Fulton; eight grandchildren, Michelle Leible, Michael Holland, Nick Brandl, Wade Brandl, Tara Brandl, Terry Adams, Ashley Barnes, and Kimberly Adams; 12 great-grandchildren, one nephew, and many dear friends. In addition to his parents and his wife, J.C. was preceded in death by one brother, Tommy Adams. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 8, 2013, at Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton with Pastor Bruce Williamson officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 7, 2013, at Maupin Funeral Home. Interment will be held at Callaway Memorial Gardens.
