Craig Flynn

Craig Flynn, 65, of Mexico, Mo., passed away Friday, December 20, 2013, at Boone Hospital Center in Columbia, Mo. Craig was born Feb. 12, 1948, in Quincy, Ill., the son of Harold E. and Dortha Jean (Sommers) Flynn. On December 2, 1973, in Monroe City, he married Millie Ritter. She survives. Mr. Flynn graduated from Fulton High School in 1966 and William Jewell College in 1971. He had owned the Sportsman's Shop in Fulton, was a route man for Manor Bread Company, manager and Hardees Franchisee for 23 years, 911 Dispatcher, School Bus Driver, teacher at Mexico Public Schools for seven years and MMA for four years. He retired in May 2013. Craig had been a member of the St. Brendan School Board, St. Brendan Parish Council, Mexico Chamber of Commerce, Shop Mexico Association and the Miss Missouri Board of Directors. Survivors include: his wife, Millie Flynn of the home; one daughter, Andrea (Jake) Mongler of Melaka, Malaysia; two grandsons, Finn and Milo Mongler; his mother, Dortha Jean Flynn of Fulton; two sisters, Debbie (Bob) Sandberg of N.H, and Denise (Tom) Scott of Columbia; one brother, Kevin Flynn of Fulton; and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Flynn was preceded in death by a beloved daughter, Caitlin Ann Flynn and his father, Harold Flynn. A Memorial Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, December 27, 2013, at St. Brendan Catholic Church with Fr. Mark Porterfield officiating. A reception will be held from 9 a.m. - 11 a.m., Friday, at St. Brendan Church Gym. Memorial donations may be made to St. Brendan School, Children's Therapy and Early Education School or the Help Center. All may be sent in care of Arnold Funeral Home, 425 S.
