Lillian E. Jenkins, 95, of Auxvasse, passed away on Wednesday, August 28, 2013, at her home. She was born July 23, 1918, the daughter of the late John and Beulah Petty. She was united in marriage to Glenn Jenkins in March of 1979. He survives at their home. Lillian was a homemaker. She had a green thumb and enjoyed flower gardening. In her younger years, she loved to dance. A life-long Baptist, she was a member of Grand Prairie Baptist Church in Auxvasse. Her memory will forever be cherished by her husband, Glenn Jenkins; son, Jerry W. Farmer of Warsaw; brother, Ralph Petty of Kansas City, Mo.; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and her three great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, son, James Farmer; sister, Dorothy Peters; and brothers, Leroy and Howard Petty. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 31, 2013, at Grand Prairie Baptist Church in Auxvasse with Brother Ben Taylor officiating. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will follow at Auxvasse Cemetery. The family suggests memorial donations be made in Lillian's name to Grand Prairie Baptist Church, c/o Maupin Funeral Home, 301 Douglas Boulevard, Fulton, MO 65251.
