Morris E. Harrison, 87, Fulton, passed away on Saturday, August 24, 2013, at Fulton Nursing and Rehab. in Fulton. He was born September 7, 1925, in McCredie, the son of the late Cecil B. Harrison and the late Mae (Marshall) Harrison. On November 20, 1945, Morris was united in marriage to Elizabeth Ruth (Massey) Harrison, who preceded him in death on May 4, 2001. Morris was a member of the First Baptist Church in Fulton and life member of the VFW Post 2657. Morris served in the U. S. Army during WWII, a two purple heart recipient. He enjoyed farming and spending time with his family. Morris will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by one son, Terry E. Harrison and wife Java of Fulton; five grandchildren, Robert Harrison (Courtney), Candi Wood (Jason), Pam Adams (Jeff), Jeremy Harrison and Michael Harrison, all of Fulton; 10 great-grandchildren, Rebecca, Amber, Cheyenne, Jonathan, Shelby, Kylie, Richard, Peyton, Chase and Jah'Nae; one brother, Leroy Harrison of Richmond, Va..; one sister, Hazel Soptick of Houston, Texas. In addition to his wife and his parents, Morris was preceded in death by two sons, Tony Harrison and Richard Harrison; five brothers and one sister. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 26, 2013, at the Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton with Pastor Bruce Williamson officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to the time of service also at the Maupin Funeral Home. Interment will be held at Callaway Memorial Gardens in Fulton.
