Susan Pringer

Susan Marie Pringer, 58, of Jefferson City, died Sunday, April 14, 2013, at her residence. She was born May 26, 1954, in Jefferson City, the daughter of the late Walter George and Rosemary Patricia (Knight) Gnagi. She was united in marriage on July 29, 1972, in Jefferson City, to Ronald A. Pringer who resides at the home. Susan began working as a registered nurse at the Boonville Hospital as the Emergency Surgical Supervisor and later working as a nurse at local nursing homes in Boonville. After moving to Jefferson City, she raised her children and was a loving caregiver for the neighborhood children. Susan spent most of her life playing the organ and piano at local churches, confirmations, baptisms, weddings, anniversaries, and funerals. She was an accompanist with the Missouri State Highway Patrol Troop F Blue Notes Choir, Compassionate Friends, Jefferson City Public School students, and the St. Peter Church Choir and the Chorale of St. Peter. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, an employee of St. Peter Catholic Church and the Cathedral of St. Joseph, and a member of Daughters of the American Legion. Other survivors include: two children, Eric (Cindy) Pringer, Tulsa, Okla., and Amy Pringer (fiancÈ Rodney Mischke), Jefferson City; one grandchild, Noah Pringer; and three siblings, Larry (Donna) Gnagi, Hiawatha, Kan., Patricia (Ronald) Forck, Jefferson City, and Mary (David) Baumhoer, Fulton. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m., Wednesday, April 17, 2013, at St. Peter Catholic Church with the Rev. Gregory C. Meystrik officiating. Entombment will be in Resurrection Mausoleum. Visitation will be 4 - 7 p.m. Tuesday at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home with a prayer service at 3:15 p.m. Memorials are suggested to the Susan Pringer Family to further catholic music ministry, help future organists, and support animal rescue.
