Zachary James Gassen

Zachary James Gassen, 22, of Fulton, passed away Thursday, November 15, 2012, at his home. He was born May 28, 1990, in Warrensburg, the son of Tim Gassen and Shannon (Lorenz) Love. Zachary enjoyed playing guitar and listening to music. He also loved Calvin and Hobbes comics. In addition to his parents, Zachary will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by one step-father, Dean Love of Fulton; one brother, Joshua Gassen of Fulton; two step- brothers, Joshua Love and wife Kelly of Kansas City, and Josiah Love of Fulton; two step-sisters, Jessica Love of Fulton and Jennifer Love of Fulton; one grandfather, Fred Gassen of Higginsville; one uncle, Kurt Lorenz and wife Johnna of Odessa and their children, Brandon and Morgann Lorenz; and numerous other cousins. Zachary was preceded in death by one grandfather, Don Lorenz; and his grandmothers, Bonnie Gassen and Joyce Lorenz. Funeral services will be 12:00 p.m. on Monday, November 19, 2012, at Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton with Reverend Dr. Gary Shultz Jr. officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service also at Maupin Funeral Home. Interment will be held in Hillcrest Cemetery.
