Kathy Knipp

Kathy Knipp, 73, of Auxvasse, passed away Sunday, November 11, 2012, at her home. She was born September 1, 1939, in Stephenson, West Virginia, the daughter of the late Buster McKinney Sr., and Ollie (Graham) McKinney. On October 19, 1963, she was united in marriage to Roy Lewis Knipp, who preceded her in death on December 3, 2006. Kathy retired from Audrain Medical Center, where she worked as a nurse for several years. She enjoyed collecting antiques and going to flea markets. She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by one son, Brian Knipp and his wife Donna of Auxvasse; two grandchildren, Christopher Knipp of Kansas City and Lauren Knipp of Columbia; one great-grandson, Christopher Knipp Jr., of Kansas City; one brother, Buster "Buckie" (Jeannie) McKinney Jr., of Beckley, West Virginia; four sisters, Pat Dye of Auxvasse, Barbara (Randy) Hall of Fairdale, West Virginia, Alice Carpener and companion Harvey of Richmond, Virginia, and Polly (Bunch) McKinney of Itmann, West Virginia; her daily caregiver and friend, Marge Hoffman; numerous nieces and nephews; several other relatives and many dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 17, 2012, at Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton, with Pastor Bruce Williamson officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, November 16, 2012, at Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton. Interment will be held at Auxvasse Cemetery.
