Dorothy G. Love, 84, of Fulton, passed away Sunday, November 11, 2012, at Callaway Community Hospital. She was born May 10, 1928, in Fulton, the daughter of the late J. Wesley and Sophie (Jatho) Guerrant. She was united in marriage to Chester Love on August 5, 1951, in Fulton. He survives her passing. Dorothy graduated from Fulton High School in 1946. She received her Associates Degree from William Woods College in 1948. Prior to her marriage, she served as the secretary for First Baptist Church. Following her marriage to Chester, she proudly accepted the jobs of mother and homemaker. Dorothy served as a Sunday School teacher for children at First Baptist Church. She was a member of Callaway Christian Church. Left to cherish Dorothy's memory are her devoted husband of 61 years, Chester; two sons, Brian D. Love and his wife Debbie of Chapel Hill, Tenn., and Phillip B. Love and his wife Angie of Rapid City, S.D.; one sister, Betty Cave and her husband Andy of New Bloomfield; two sisters-in-law, Margie Guerrant and Jane Guerrant; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Dr. Gordon Guerrant and Robert Guerrant. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, November 14, at Debo Funeral Home in Fulton with Pastor Bruce Williamson officiating. Entombment will follow at Callaway Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 p.m. on Tuesday, November 13, at the funeral home.
