Cecelia"Cece" Estelle Eyler Wylde, 60, of Guthrie, passed away Tuesday, November 6, 2012, at her home, after a valiant battle with Pancreatic Cancer. She was born September 16, 1952, in Atlanta, Ga., the daughter of Jacob Henry Eyler and the late Alma (Lurlene) Jones. Cece was married to Richard Wylde on January 3, 1981, in Kingsville, Texas, and he survives at the home. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Texas A and I with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, and was employed as a Microbology Med Tech by the University of Missouri Hospital until the time of her illness and was member of American Society for Clinical Pathology. Cece was a gifted cake decorator and made many special occasion cakes for her friends and family. She loved bugs and anything outdoors, and was well known for her late night shopping trips to Wal-Mart. She loved watching movies; especially King Kong movies or anything with rubber dinosaurs, and enjoyed slapstick comedy. She was a charter member of First Baptist Church of Guthrie where she faithfully served as a Bible Teacher, Worship Team Member, Puppeteer, Prayer Warrior, and Mentor. She was known for her warm hospitality, opening her home to anyone in need. Cece served six years in the United Stated Navy as electronic technician. She was beloved by her family and friends and will greatly missed by all. Cece is survived by her husband, Richard Wylde of the home; her daughters, Cathy (Scott) Patterson and Mary Jordan, all of Columbia; her brothers, Vance Broome, of Oveido, Fla., Duane Eyler of Sanford, Fla., Don Broome of Tifton, Ga., and Tommy Broome of Lake Park, Ga; one sister, Betty Sue Burr of DeBary, Fla.; and many nieces, nephews, family and friends. She was preceded in death by her mother, Lurlene Broome. Memorial services were held on Saturday, November 10, 2012 at 6:00 p.m. at Guthrie Community Church with Reverend Ben Montgomery officiating. The family received visitors at the church from 4:00 p.m. until the time of the service. Private interment services will be held at Benton City Cemetery with Reverend Don Munford officiating. Memorial contributions may be to the Kathy's House.
