Betty V Rhoades

Betty V. Rhoades, 91, of Mexico, formerly of Assumption, Ill., died Friday May 18, 2012, in Mexico. Services were at 11 a.m. Monday, May 21, 2012, in Seitz Funeral Home, Assumption, Ill., with Pastor James M. Baldwin, Sr. officiating. Visitation was at 10 a.m. until the service time in the funeral home. Burial was in Pleasant View Cemetery, Assumption, Ill. Betty was born December 1, 1920, in Owaneco, Ill., the daughter of Cecil A. and Eula May (Oaks) Long. She married Charles A. Rhoades in St. Charles, March 14, 1940. He preceded her in death on June 28, 1997. Betty was a member of the Hinton Church of God and was a 1938 graduate of Assumption High School. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, one brother and three sisters. Surviving are her sons, Donald, Charles, Randy, Dennis and Kenneth Rhoades; daughters, Rosalie Cima, Beverly Kibler, and Betty Herron; 18 grandchildren and several great and great-great grandchildren.
