Georgia Deloney Wolfmeier

Georgia Deloney Wolfmeier, 87, passed away Tuesday, March 20, 2012, at Mercy Memorial Hospital in Ardmore, Okla., following an extended illness. She was born to the late Joseph Leonard and Rose Anne York Deloney, May 25, 1924, in Silex. Of Baptist faith, she grew up in Fulton, and graduated from Fulton High School. She later enrolled at Northeastern Missouri State University, Kirksville, and received an Associates Degree. For a time, she taught school in a one-room schoolhouse in the Mokane area. In Fulton, she worked as the shipping office manager for the Harbison-Walker Brick Company for 28 years. She later worked 15 years at the Ozark Land Gift Shop in Kingdom City. As her health declined, she moved to Ardmore from Fulton in 2004. She and Marion Wolfmeier were married in 1940 in Fulton. He preceded her in death on December 12, 1979. Her parents; a brother, Benny Deloney; sisters, Mary Shiverdecker and Myrtle Phillips, also preceded her in death. Survivors include: her beloved son, George Wolfmeier of Ardmore, Okla.; a brother, James L. Deloney and his wife Mary of Fulton; and several nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be at 11:00 a.m., Monday, March 26, 2012, at the Southside Baptist Church in Fulton and will be conducted by Rev. Dale Larison. The family will receive friends at the church Monday from 10- 1 a.m. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Harvey-Douglas Funeral Home and Crematory.
