Wilma I Stafford

Wilma I. Stafford, age 69, of Lee's Summit, died Friday, March 16, 2012, at home surrounded by her family. She was born on October 18, 1942, in Buffalo, to the late Lewey Stafford and Mary Harrison Stafford of Marshall. She graduated from Buffalo High School in 1960. After high school she went to work at Western Electric which later became AT&T and retired in 1995. She was saved at the age of 16 at Benton Branch church in Long Lane, during Memorial Day services. Soon after, she was baptized at the Bible Baptist Church in Buffalo. She attended Graceway in Raytown. She studied her Bible faithfully and lived as such. In addition to her mother, Wilma is survived by eight sisters, Wanda Stafford of Lee's Summit, Willa Boehmer of Overland Park, Kan., Wanita Aulgur (Ronald) of Burbank, Ill., Judy Boehmer (Gary) of Jefferson City, Joyce Leimkuehler (Neil) of Kansas City, Jeanie Fann (Ronnie) of Marshall, Jane Stafford of Jefferson City, Jill Hobbs (Ronn) of Poplar Bluff; two brothers, Jeff Stafford (Becky) of Fulton, Craig Stafford of Marshall; a special niece, Shelley Slavens (James) of Lee's Summit, whom she helped raise; one aunt, Vada Yates of Springfield; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins. Wilma was preceded in death by her father; one brother, Mark Stafford; one brother-in-law, Doug Boehmer; and one nephew, Joel Robert Boehmer. Visitation for Wilma is Sunday, March 18, 2012, from 2 - 4 p.m. at the Langsford Funeral Home, 115 SW 3rd Street, Lee's Summit, Mo 64063. Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 19, 2012, at 10:30 a.m. at the Langsford Funeral Home with burial at 3:30 p.m. at Riverview-Sweaney Cemetery in rural Dallas County.
