Katherine Maddox

Katherine Maddox, 97, of Fulton, passed away Wednesday, March 14, 2012, at Fulton Manor. She was born December 1, 1914, the daughter of Henry F. and Christina (Becker) Diehl. Katherine enjoyed fishing, gardening and sewing. She was an avid fan of St. Louis Cardinals baseball. She was a member of Reform Baptist Church. She will be fondly remembered by her son, Oscar Maddox and his wife Sue of Fulton; daughter, Edith Martin and husband Clifford of Oklahoma City; brother, William Diehl of Mexico; sisters, Edith Craighead and husband Gene of Fulton and Mary Bess of Texas; eight grandchildren, Delbert, Cathy, Rick, Susie, Homer, Christina, Twilla, and Carol; and 17 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leo Maddox. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 17 at Debo Funeral Home in Fulton with Reverend Rick Conley officiating. Interment will follow at Steedman Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 until 8 p.m. on Friday, March 16 at the funeral home.
