Brian James Cozy

Brian James Cozy, 65, of Portland, passed away Saturday, March 3, 2012, at Riverview Nursing Center. He was born April 27, 1946, in Connecticut, the son of the late James Ralph Cozy and Audrey (Bjerstedt) Cozy. Brian attended Central High School and graduated in 1964. From there he joined the Navy and was enlisted from 1965-1967. He enjoyed hunting, football, and having a good time with friends. Brian will be sadly missed by many. Brian will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his mother, Audrey (Cozy) Tikal of La Crosse, Wis.; five daughters, Carla Amundson and husband Darren of Holmen, Angie Gaul of La Crosse, Brittney Cozy of Cynthiana, Ky., Danielle Cozy of DeSoto, and Emily Cozy of Stoddard; 10 grandchildren, Meghan, Chelsea, Ashley, Alex, Henry, Tanner, Riley, Nevaeh, Landyn, and Mykena; one brother, Jeff and wife Sally of La Crosse, Wis. Brian was preceded in death by his father; one brother, Doug Cozy; and one nephew, Christopher Cozy. There will be a private memorial service held at a later date under the direction of MaupinFuneralHome.com.
