James "Huck" Ralph Hockemeyer

James Ralph "Huck" Hockemeyer, devoted husband, son, and brother, 65, of Fulton passed away Tuesday, June 19, 2012, at his home. He was born June 10, 1947, in Fulton, the son of the late William Winvel and Gertrude (Koenig) Hockemeyer. He was united in marriage to Debra Michele Bonard. She survives at their home. Ralph proudly served his country from 1966-1968, during Vietnam in the United States Army 173rd Airborne Brigade of the 82nd Airborne Division. He retired after 27 Ω years with the City of Fulton Fire Department. He was a member of Central Missouri Amateur Astronomers, Sierra Club, BMW Motorcycle Owners of America, Unitarian Universalist Discussion Group, Rag Tag Irregulars, VFW Post 2657, and Mokane AMVETS. Along with his wife, he is survived by sister Shirley Reeves and husband Jerry of Ironton, Mo.; parents-in-law, Larry and Carolyn Bonard of Lake Ozark, Mo.; nephew Jerry L. Reeves II and wife Kim of Farmington, Mo. and their children Chelsea Faries and husband Joe, Jerry L. Reeves III, Asia Reeves, and Jax Reeves; niece Kim Pickett and husband Tim of Cape Girardeau, Mo. and their children Emma and Winnie Pickett; sister-in-law, Laura Yvonne Bonard; and uncles-in-law, Danny Bonard and his wife Charley and Bob Holtsmith and his wife Dorcas. A Celebration of Ralph's Life will be held in the spring along with Military Honors at Callaway Memorial Gardens. Ralph's wishes were to be cremated.
