Thomas "Tommy" Ralph Golden

Thomas "Tommy" Ralph Golden, 68, of Kansas City, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, June 9, 2012, in Seattle, Wash. He was born May 25, 1944, in Kansas City, to Ralph Gilbert Golden and Ellenora Bridgeford Golden. He was a 1964 graduate of the Missouri School for the Deaf, Fulton. He was a former member of the Greater Kansas City Association of the Deaf and was a member of the Olathe Club for the Deaf. He never met a stranger and enjoyed hosting swimming pool parties. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, and barbecues. He had a gift at telling jokes and making people laugh. He and his wife, Jennifer, would have celebrated 44 years of marriage this coming August. He retired in 2009 from the Kansas City Life Insurance Company. He is survived by: his wife, Jennifer Golden; son, Anthony (Michele) Golden of Olathe, Kan.; daughter, Michelle (Vernon) Brooks of Liberty; his mother, Ellenora Golden of Rio Rancho, N.M.; his step-mother, Pauline Golden of Independence; mother-in-law, Nancy Harding of Fulton; sister, Virginia Golden of Rio Rancho, N.M.; and his grandchildren, Sarah, Carl, Jamie, Victoria, Maggie, Rebecca, Dylan, and Trenton. Funeral Services will be at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, June 16, 2012, at the Liberty Assembly, 101 N. Forest, Liberty, MO 64068. A visitation at the church will follow. Burial will be in the Resthaven Cemetery, Chillicothe. Contributions may be made to Pony Express Bank, 215 N. 291 Highway, Liberty, MO 64068, in memory of Thomas Golden.
