Gilbert Brueggeman

Gilbert Brueggeman, 68, of Fulton, passed away Sunday, June 3, 2012. He was born August 6, 1943, in Norwalk, Wis., the son of Louis and Mamie (Doll) Brueggeman. He was united in marriage to Janice Siegel on January 1, 1999, in Fulton. She survives at their home. Gilbert was a life-long farmer working on dairy and grain farms. He retired from Shramek farms in 2009. He loved fishing and was an avid sports fan. His favorite teams were the St. Louis Cardinals, Green Bay Packers, and St. Louis Rams. He enjoyed playing cards and polka music. His favorite times were those spent with family and friends. He is survived by his wife, Janice; step-son, Brian Williamson; brothers, Kenneth and wife Sharon of Ill. and Gary and wife Ellie of Ill.; sisters, Shelby Fuenger and husband Paul of Wis. and Bonnie Dennison of Wis.; sister-in-law, Linda Brueggeman of Ill.; and numerous in-laws, nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, June 8, 2012, at Debo Funeral Home in Fulton. Interment will follow at Guthrie Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
