Aaron Maddox Underwood, 34, of Holts Summit, passed away Thursday, May 31, 2012, at his home. He was born February 1, 1978, in Fulton, the son of James R. and Carol Underwood. On October 18, 2003, he was united in marriage to Malissa Wekenborg. She survives at their home along with their daughter, Clara. Aaron was a member of the New Bloomfield Christian Church. He graduated from Helias High School in 1996. He had an adventurous spirit and enjoyed camping, floating Ozark rivers, and many other outdoor activities. He was an American History fanatic and a Civil War buff. He was an avid sports fan and especially enjoyed football. He enjoyed listening to old country music and was a firearms enthusiast. The highlight of his life was playing with his daughter and spending time with family members. He will live forever in the hearts of his parents; wife; daughter, Clara Underwood; brother, Doug Underwood and his wife April of Monroe, La.; sisters, Christy Dunlap and husband Jeff of Pioneer, La. and Ashley Trail and husband Clay of Jefferson City; grandparents, Roger and Jessie Ruth Ling of Jefferson City; and several nieces, nephews, in-laws, aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by Patrick Maddox, and grandparents Pat and Letha Maddox. A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, June 3, 2012, at Debo Funeral Home in Holts Summit with Pastor Joe Gibson officiating.
