Jack Ray Alexander, 80, of Fulton, passed away on Sunday, July 29, 2012, at Boone Hospital in Columbia. He was born September 2, 1931, in Kansas City, Kansas, the son of the late George Douglas Alexander and the late Cecile (Culp) Alexander. On October 8, 1967, Jack was united in marriage to Carolyn (Galwith) Alexander, who survives his passing. Jack enjoyed deer hunting, fishing, and working. He enjoyed keeping his yard work up and keeping his flowers nice. Jack loved to visit and he loved his children and grandchildren. He was the favorite papa to all of the kid's school mates and he loved every minute of it. He worked up until a few days before his passing. Jack will be missed and loved by all who knew him. In addition to his wife, Jack will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by one son, Jeremy Shiverdecker of Fulton; five daughters, Renee Stanley and husband, Gary, of Bonner Springs, Kan., Jackie Riley and husband, Mike, of Olathe, Kan., Marilyn Curry and husband, Allen, of Ashland, Jackie Shiverdecker of Ashland, and Chrystal Shiverdecker and husband, Brad, Harrisburg; nine grandchildren, Daniel Smith, Heather Clyne, Michael Alexander, Morgan Butsch, Miles Riley, Mary Riley, Taylor Shiverdecker, Alexanderia Eaton, and Collin Wallace; five great-grandchildren, Taylor Smith, Tanner Smith, Tate Clyne, Dane Clyne, and Charlee Alexander; one brother, Jimmy Alexander and wife, Virginia, of Abilene, Texas; one sister-in-law, Linda Robinson; and one brother-in-law, Gary Galwith. Funeral services will be at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 1, 2012, at St. Peters Catholic Church with Father I.C. Medina officiating. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until the time of service also at St. Peter's Catholic Church. It was Jack's wishes to be cremated.
