Dorothy Marie Romeo

Dorothy Marie Romeo, 76, of Hempstead, Texas, passed away Sunday, January 8, 2012, at her home in Hempstead, Texas. She was born October 14, 1935, in Portland, Mo. to Ben and Susie Bess Davenport. She was previously married to Richard James of Jefferson City and they had one daughter, Patricia Weldon. On July 14, 1970, she was married to Tony Romeo in Shreveport, La. She is survived by her husband, daughter, Patty Weldon; two grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, three step-children, several step-grandchildren, all of Hempstead, and sister, Mary Polacek of Mexico, Mo. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, James "Bud" Davenport. Funeral services will take place on January 12, 2012, in Waller, Texas.
