Corbett S. "Corky" Franke

Corbett S. "Corky" Franke, age 64, of Williamsburg, Mo., formerly of North St. Louis County, passed away Sunday, January 1, 2012. He was born July 22, 1947, in St. Louis, Mo. to Robert and Dorothy E. (Smith) Franke. He served in the United States Army, a Vietnam veteran and a Protestant by faith. He was a professional driver for 43 years. He was a loving husband to Jeanne (Albon) Franke. He was a loving father to Carey Ann Combs of St. Peters, Mo., Cristy Lynn Browning of Center, Mo., Michael Shea Franke of Arnold, Mo. and Melanie Miller of Williamsburg, Mo. He was a loving brother to Claude Franke of Joliet, Ill, Vernon Franke of Marquand, Mo., and Robert Franke of Bethaldo, Ill. He was a loving grandfather of 10 and great-grandfather of one. He was preceded in death by his parents and one grandson. There will be a memorial gathering Sunday, January 8, 2012, at Vineyards Clubhouse, 756 Napa Ln., St. Charles, MO 63304 from 12:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. Service will start at 1 p.m. Memorials may be made to the Corbett Franke family in care of Alternative Funeral & Cremation Services, 2115 Parkway Dr., St. Peters, MO 63376.
