Norman D Ridgel

Norman D. Ridgel, age 65, a resident of Winslow, Arkansas, and formerly of Hogeye, Arkansas, passed away Sunday, February 19, 2012, in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Norman was born in Fulton, Missouri on February 14, 1947. He served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War and also served eight years in the Army National Guard. Norman worked as a Freezer Operator and enjoyed worked on motorcycles and cars. Norman loved spending time with his kids and his family and he will be missed very much. Norman is survived by his wife, Rita Ridgel of the home in Winslow, Arkansas; one son, Bradley Ridgel of Great Bend, Kansas; one daughter, Stacy Yeager and husband Gaylen of Winfield, Kansas; two brothers, Harold Maddox of Fulton, Missouri and Roy Ridgel and wife Sue of Berlin, Germany; one sister, Ruth Maddox and her partner Debbie of Fulton, Missouri; four grandchildren, Tasha Yeager, Phillip Yeager, James Yeager, and Blain Ridgel; one great- grandchild, Lelan Yeager; special nieces and nephew, Alyssa and Landon Carney, and Hanah Fugit; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Fredrick Ridgel and Gladys (Smith) Maddox; two brothers, Tommy Maddox and Lindal Ridgel; and one sister, Shirley Gladden. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, February 22, 2012, with funeral services to follow at 11:00 a.m. at the Christian Community Worship Center (13938 South Highway 265) in the Hogeye Community in West Fork, Arkansas. Interment will follow at 1:00 p.m. at the Fayetteville National Cemetery in Fayetteville, Arkansas with military honors.
