Bertha Chapman

Bertha Chapman, 95, of Fulton, formerly of Mexico, died Tuesday, December 25, 2012 at the Callaway Community Hospital in Fulton. Bertha was born on October 10, 1917 in Bee Branch, Arkansas to Elmer and Helen Frances (Ward) Younger. On February 6, 1937 in Houston, Arkansas Bertha married David LeRoy Chapman, he preceded her in death on December 16, 1985. Bertha was an active member at the First Assembly of God Church in Mexico. Mrs. Chapman is survived by her sons, Roy Leon Chapman of Holiday, Jim Loyd Chapman of Holiday, Gerald Edward Chapman and wife Pamela Ann of Fulton, and Dennis Cecil Chapman of Mexico; 12 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Hasting Younger, Joe Nathan Younger, Brinkley Younger; and sister, Georgia (Younger) Reese. Along with her husband, Bertha was preceded in death by her parents. Graveside services will be held 9:00 AM Friday at East Lawn Memorial Park in Mexico with Rev. Everett Bradshaw officiating. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial donations be made to the First Assembly of God Church in care of Arnold Funeral Home 425 S. Jefferson Mexico, MO 65265.
