Stella K Rentschler

Stella K. Rentschler, 98, of Fulton, passed away Sunday, December 9, 2012, at The Bluffs in Columbia. She was born August 16, 1914, in Auxvasse, the daughter of Fleetwood and Stella Tucker (Atkinson) Chism. She was united in marriage to Carl Rentschler on January 26, 1935. He preceded her in death on November 5, 1999. Stella took great pride in caring for her home and family. She loved to quilt and paint and was known for her homemade rolls. She and Carl enjoyed attending the Senior Center dances. Her favorite times were those spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Stella was a member of Central Christian Church. Her memory will forever be treasured by her children, Carl Rentschler and wife Brenda of Fulton and Kay Pingelton of Columbia; grandchildren, Steve Rentschler and his wife Karen, James Durk, and Brenda Broxton and her husband Ron; great-grandchildren, Jacob and Katelin Watson, Shelby Scroggins, Evan Broxton, Kinsley Rentschler, Megan O'Donley, and Madalynn O'Donley; and her sister, Virginia. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; granddaughter, Lorie McKee; son-in-law, William Pingelton; and 10 brothers and sisters. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, December 13, 2012, at Debo Funeral Home in Fulton with Pastors Bill Nigus and Randy Germann officiating. Interment will follow at Central Christian Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 p.m. on Wednesday, December 12 at the funeral home.
