Kenton Cook Green, 63, of Fulton, passed away Friday, November 30, 2012, at the VA Hospital in Columbia. He was born October 12, 1949, in Windfield, Kan., the son of the late John Green and Constance (Hathaway) Green. Kenton was united in marriage to Catherine Leree (Mundy) Green, who survives his passing at the home. Kenton was a member of Providence Baptist Church in New Bloomfield. He was in the US Air Force and served his country in Vietnam. Kenton valued education and was member of Gamma Beta Sigma. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. In addition to his wife and mother, Kenton will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by two sons, Kenton "Lee" Green of New Orleans, La. and Christopher Jason Green Connecticut; two daughters, Jennifer Alice Wickham of Eldon and Karen Ann Hobbs, Jefferson City; four brothers, John Morris of Philadelphia, Arvin Morris of Philadelphia, John Green of New Orleans, and Bruce Green of New Orleans; one sister, Evie Redner of New Orleans; and five grandchildren, Meghan Green, Kenton Glen Gray, Breanna Laree Wickham, Michael Kenneth Hobbs, and Alexander Freeman Lee Wickham. Funeral services will be 12:00 p.m on Monday, December 3, 2012, at Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton with Reverend Jim Shaver officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service on Monday also at Maupin Funeral Home. Interment will be held at Southside Cemetery.
