Minnie M. Salmons, 88, of Fulton, passed from this life on Monday, August 6, 2012, at Presbyterian Manor. She was born August 8, 1923, in Reform, Mo., the daughter of the late Lloyd and Winnie (Maddox) Witt. She was united in marriage to Ernest C. Salmons on March 1, 1947. He preceded her in death on July 4, 2011. Minnie worked for 17 years at International Shoe Company. She has a great love for children, spending over 40 years overseeing the church nursery and 45 years babysitting in her home, retiring in 2007. She cared for more than 790 children sometimes spanning three generations of family members. She had a talent for baking and made pies each Saturday morning to be given to family and friends. She was a faithful member of the Church of God Holiness. Left to cherish her memory is her son, Dwane and his wife Debra of Fulton and their children Matthew and Brooklyn. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three sisters, and one brother. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 11, 2012, at the Church of God Holiness with Reverend Travis Sayler officiating. Interment will follow at Callaway Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 p.m. on Friday, August 10, at Debo Funeral Home in Fulton.
