Timothy Ben McAlpin, 52, of Fulton, passed away on Saturday, April 14, 2012. He was born November 5, 1959 in Mayfield, Ky., the son of Walter Benton McAlpin and Ruth Frances Lamb McAlpin. On September 15, 2004, he was united in marriage to Cathy McAlpin, who survives his passing. Tim enjoyed watching 49ers football and was a Mustang car enthusiast. He enjoyed landscaping, working at the Fulton State Hospital, and being a prankster. Tim loved spending time with family and friends. In addition to his parents, Tim will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by four children, Tammy Doerhoff and husband Ryan of Fulton, Amanda Grosz and husband Calvin of Knob Noster, Tim McAlpin II of Fulton, and Sage McAlpin of Fulton; three grandchildren, Alexeya Doerhoff, RyLynn Doerhoff, and Mason Grosz; two brothers, Doug McAlpin of Montreal, and Ronnie McAlpin and wife Christy of Moberly; two sisters, Joyce Wells and husband Harold of LaGrange, and Shelia Packer of Thermopolis, Wyo. Tim was preceded in death by one brother, Terry McAlpin. Memorial services will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, April, 19 2012, at Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton with Pastor Tim Carson officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until the time of service also on Thursday at Maupin Funeral Home.
