Deborah K. Nelson, 50, of Auxvasse, passed away Friday, April 13, 2012, at her home after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born October 3, 1961, in Fulton, the daughter of Gordon Nelson and Jo Ann (Millard) Nelson. Debbie was a member of Concord Presbyterian Church. She loved spending time with Connor, Jadynn, and family. Debbie also enjoyed spending time at the beach. In addition to her parents, Debbie will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by one son, Mitchell Jenkins of Auxvasse; one daughter, Jordyn Mackey of Auxvasse; one brother, Gene Nelson and wife, Pam of Fulton; three sisters, Lea Ann Foster and husband, Neal of Auxvasse, Brenda Hayes and husband, Pat of Auxvasse, and Kathy Huddleston and husband, Rick of Auxvasse; one sister-in-law, Joanne Mackey of Fulton; and several nieces and nephews. A private family memorial service was held on Monday, April 16, 2012, at Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton, with Rev. Dr. William Young and Rev. Alan Bailey officiating.
