Tena Rouse Jasper

Tena Rouse Jasper, 59, of Gulf Shores, died Saturday, March 31, 2012, in Pensacola, Fla., after a short battle with cancer, which she endured with dignity and grace. She was born July 9, 1952, the daughter of Billie Clayton Rouse and Harry Allen Rouse in Fulton. On December 30, 1977, she married Robert (Bob) Jasper, who survives in Gulf Shores, Ala. Tena was a long-time owner of the Picket Fence store on Court Street in Fulton. She was a 1970 graduate of Fulton High School and member of the Southside Baptist Church in Fulton. In 2010, Tena and Bob, a retired Callaway County Deputy, moved to Gulf Shores. Tena is also survived by: a son, Brian Keith Jasper; a daughter, Morgan Jasper Turnbaugh (Dennis); and a granddaughter, Raylee Turnbaugh; all of Gulf Shores; a granddaughter, Cassidy Jasper, Columbia; a sister, Terry Rouse Arter (John), Lohman; a nephew Mike Holloway (Karen), Holts Summit; brothers-in-law John Jasper (Loraine), Indiana, Pa., and Dennis Jasper, St. James; a sister-in-law, Donna Jasper McClure (Mike), Olanta, Pa.; along with several other nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her parents; step-father, Bud Daharsh; brothers-in-law, Rich Womack and George Jasper; and mother and father-in-law, Robert and Donna Jasper, Sr.. Private family services will be conducted in Gulf Shores at a later time.
