Fannie Gertrude Miller, 95, of Millersburg, passed away Friday, September 16, 2011, at Boone Hospital Center. Fannie was born in Boone County to Charles B. and Katie Lee (Karney) McKinzie on January 20, 1916. She married Raymond E. Miller on October 6, 1934. She lived in Millersburg on their farm, was a homemaker and worked for Eastgate Laundry for several years. Fannie enjoyed quilting, sewing and spending time with her family. She was a lifetime member of the Millersburg Community recognized as one of the 2011 Grand Marshals in the annual Millersburg Parade. She was a longtime member of the Millersburg Baptist Church. She is survived by two daughters: Mary (Russ) Smith and Katie (Will) Dawson, both of Fulton; four grandchildren: Dale Dawson, Raymond Smith, and John Dawson, all of Fulton, and Kathy Gilman of Auxvasse; seven great-grandchildren; and one sister, Alma Bea Allen of Victoria, Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond; one sister, Altha O'Neal; and two nephews. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 22, 2011, at 2 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home, officiated by Rev. Robert Frey. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 21, 2011 from 5-8 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Millersburg Baptist Church Building Fund or Millersburg Cemetery.
