Ann Butkiewicz

Ann Butkiewicz, 83, of Chicago, Ill., passed away Thursday, September 1, 2011, in Chicago. She was born August 21, 1928, in Chicago, Ill. She was married in Chicago on July 1, 1950, to Raymond G. Butkiewicz, who preceded her in death on June 14, 1989. Ann was Employee of the Year (1988) for Resurrection Medical Center in Chicago and Norwood Park Senior of the Year in 2003. She took great delight in helping others, whether it be her family, friends or neighbors. She took an active role in many different senior clubs in the Chicago area. With those clubs, she enjoyed many sightseeing and casino trips. However, her favorite trips, by far, were when she would drive or fly to visit her children and grandchildren. Ann was the loving mother of Raymond M. (Kathy) of Indianapolis, Ind., Robert Butkiewicz of Naples, Fla. and Gloria (Dennis) Emanuel of Fulton, Mo.; proud grandmother of John (Courtney), Ann Butkiewicz, Nathan Emanuel and Michael Emanuel; great- grandmother of Grayson Butkiewicz; and dear aunt of many nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held September 5, 2011, at the Immaculate Conception Church in Chicago, Ill.
