Nina Rae Howison

Nina Rae Howison, age 83, of Fulton, passed away Thursday, September 1, 2011, at Fulton Manor Care Center, Fulton. She was born August 10, 1928 in Fulton, the daughter of the late Walter E. Speece and Agnes E. (Phelps) Speece. She was married to Curtis Howison, who preceded her in death on April 4, 1981. Mrs. Howison loved NASCAR, especially Carl Edwards, and loved reading books. She will be sadly missed and remembered by one sister-in-law, Juanita Speece of Steelville, Illinois; one nephew, Michael Speece of Steelville, Illinois; one niece, Lorrie (David) Hesse of Baldwin, Illinois; and very close friends, the Blattner family of Fulton. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one son, Roger Howison; and one brother, Junior Speece. Mrs. Howison wished to be cremated and private graveside services will be held at a later date with Pastor Bruce Williamson officiating. Interment will be in the Boydsville Cemetery.
