Karen Ann Gilmore, 54, formerly of Fulton, passed away Thursday, October 27, 2011 in Cooper County. She was born February 6, 1957, in Fulton, the daughter of Vearl and Edith (Carinder) Cheney. She was united in marriage to Edward Gilmore on September 3, 1974. He preceded her in death. Karen attended school in Tebbetts and Jefferson City. She was employed at Booneslick Industries in Boonville. She enjoyed shopping, taking walks, and going on picnics with her family. She found her greatest pleasure in spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was baptized and saved in Fulton and attended First Assembly of God Church. She will be fondly remembered by three daughters, Roxanne Kight and husband Thomas of Mokane, Kandy Johnson and husband Mike of Holts Summit, and Amanda Davis and husband Adam of Fulton; three sisters, Verla Summers and Mark Wenkel of Holts Summit, Glenda Prenger and husband Dennis of Jefferson City, and Beverly Mauzy and husband Duane of Holts Summit; one brother, Carl Cheney and wife Rosanna of Fulton; 11 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband. Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, October 31, 2011, at Debo Funeral Home in Holts Summit with Reverend Mike Haldeman and Reverend Randy Dignan officiating. Interment will follow at Bull Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
