Virginia K. Martin, 88, of Fulton, passed away Monday, October 17, 2011, at her home. She was born December 17, 1922, in Omaha, Neb., the daughter of Edwin and Marie Irene (Trinibs) Kimbell. Virginia was a Psychiatric Aide at Fulton State Hospital from 1958 until her retirement in 1980. She was an avid reader and also enjoyed fishing and crossword puzzles. She is survived by three sons, William (Bill) Harris of Williamsburg, Richard Harris and wife Connie Sue of Fulton, and Dennis Martin and wife Sherry of Auxvasse; six grandchildren, Bobbie Harris and husband Andrew Singh of Olathe, Kan., Billie McDonald and husband Joe of New Bloomfield, Beckie Fischer and husband Kent of Fulton, Shannon Callis and husband Chad of Fort Riley, Kan., Melissa Harris of Fulton, and Kristen Maddox and husband Will of Fulton; nine great-grandchildren; seven great-great grandchildren; one sister, Lou Keitzer of Tyler, Texas; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Alvin; her parents; one son, Gary Harris; one brother Edwin Kimbell; and a daughter-in-law, Shirley Harris. Funeral Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, October 21, 2011, at Debo Funeral Home in Fulton with Pastor Bruce Williamson officiating. Burial will follow at Callaway Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home on Thursday, October 20, 2011.
