Jerry Nunnelly

Jerry Nunnelly, age 82, of Readsville, Mo., passed away Saturday, October 8, 2011, at the Callaway Hospital in Fulton. Jerry suffered from emphysema and C.O.P.D. He was born on November 16, 1928, in Readsville, Mo., the son of Carl and Eunice (Edney) Nunnelly of Readsville, both deceased. Jerry was a lifelong general farmer and served in the U.S. Army for 5 years. He served in the Korean War and was stationed in Guam, Japan, and Saipan. Survivors include: his wife Martha of 58 years; daughter, Brenda Boyer and husband Tony of Baltimore, Md.; two grandsons, Russell and Chad Boyer of Baltimore, Md.; and several nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Myrtle Hockmeyer and Leola Becker. His body was donated to science. Memorial services celebrating Jerry's life will be held at Bethel Methodist Church in Readsville, Mo., at Noon on Sunday, October 23, 2011, with Mary Maddox officiating.
